Port A Adventure
Many years ago, the old joke was that “Port Aransas is a drinking town with a fishing problem”. In some cases, it hasn’t lost that identity. We get our fair share of partiers and during the summer seasons there seems to be a fishing tournament every weekend. However, the community has grown from its humble beginnings when the Karankawa Indians inhabited the island. Mustang Island (originally called Wild Horse Island) which gets its namesake from the wild horses (mesterios) that the Spaniards brought in the 1800’s, has been developed into a vacation destination. Today, Mustang Island is a place for family, friends, and even business vacationers to unplug, sightsee, and enjoy some needed R&R.
We try hard to make your stay as enjoyable as possible by providing many of the creature comforts of home. Think of MayanPrincess.us as basecamp for your vacation destination.
